OWA now works on Vista

Outlook Web Access (OWA) a very useful feature of exchange server has now been patched so that it works with Windows Vista.  As part of its overhaul of Internet Explorer, Microsoft removed an editing control that was used by OWA, among other applications.
The patch has to be applied to the Exchange Server, not to the desktop, so individuals won’t be able to solve the problem on their own.
If you are suffering from this problem, we highly recommend that you contact your Exchange 2000/2003 administrator to make sure they have installed this update.

Windows Vista now in the shops! What to expect and do I upgrade?

Design a product that works with hundreds of thousands of devices and software applications, and will be used by 800 million or more people…. It has been 5 years in the making and now ready for release after lots of testing. Main concentration areas are security and ease of use. Vista

You will need a powerful machine though to take advantage of all it has to offer and a decent video card for all the eye candy.

We have been testing it now for a few months after getting a copy from Microsoft under their partner agreement scheme. We are well impressed and look forward to rolling it out over the next 12 months. There will be hardware upgrades as well though. So it is a double whammy if you want to upgrade slow machines I am afraid.

It does make productivity increase though and will save lots of down time due to virus and pests finding it harder to infect the system and even the average Windows user will be able to work a lot faster, not having to fumble around the environment as much. Searching for things has been made a lit easier.

One of the features we particularly like is the ease in which you can make laptops more secure by encrypting documents in case they fall into unwanted hands, so you can relax more with client data not escaping.

They have also improved its ability to keep itself running better over time, so that you don’t get the typical speed loss after several months of just using the operating system. The engine of the OS has also been re written so that intense graphics applications can not crash the system anymore, a typical complaint from many games users.

Do you upgrade today? Well if you have a modern XP system that you are happy with there is no rush, but if you can not wait then be prepared to upgrade your hardware as well.

As a new year gift we will be giving away ONE FREE COPY to the first person that contacts us about this article and leaves a comment.
